Hebe history

Eliza Baylies Chapin Wheaton, a founding benefactor of the college, established the college's initial endowment through her estate. To honor her legacy, Hebe "the cupbearer," represents the spirit of Wheaton: to be of service, and stands strong as the symbol of our Founders Society.

Members of the Founders Society embody that same spirit of service by making a planned or legacy gift to Wheaton, ensuring the college thrives for generations to come
